The nature of sound is mechanical vibration waves (usually considered in the atmosphere), and one of the most basic units of sound is frequency. The human ear is able to hear the audio frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz (the number varies from 20 to 20,000 times / second). And to make it easier to identify, people often divide the frequency range from 20Hz to 20KHz into 3 basic "frequency ranges", which are Bass, Mid and Treble. Those frequencies beyond the 20Hz to 20kHz limit will be called lower (if lower than 20Hz) and ultrasonic (if higher than 20kHz).
