T Jurassic Park T Rex Eats Lawyer on Toilet poster

A new study published in the journal Science Advances on May 17, 2017, scientists at Florida State University, USA built a computer model based on the jaw muscle anatomy of the tyrant dinosaur to learn how their teeth crush prey bones. They put in the data to calculate the bite force as well as the pressure created by the teeth.

The results showed that the bite of the giant tyrannosaurus was measured at about 3,630kg, equivalent to the weight of three small cars. The long, conical and thick teeth create a bite pressure of 30,300kg / cm2, which causes the prey bone to crack into pieces.
